Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 January 2026

By enrolling your child and making payment for lessons with SkyHigh Academy, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Enrolment & Lessons

• All sessions are personalised 1-on-1 lessons held either online or in-person, depending on tutor availability and parent preference.

• Students are matched with a tutor based on subject, availability, and learning goals.

• Trial sessions are free. Ongoing sessions require a confirmed payment and schedule.

• You can request a change of tutor at any time if the current tutor isn’t the right fit.

2. Lesson Duration & Delivery

• Standard lessons are 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed.

• Tutors may provide optional homework and session notes upon request.

• Lessons will not be confirmed or scheduled without upfront payment.

3. Fees & Payment

• The standard rate is $75 per lesson.

• Payment must be made in advance (fortnightly or for the full term).

• Payments are made via bank transfer. Reference must include your child’s name + term/session.

• Late or missed payments may result in paused sessions.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

• At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

• Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur 50% of the session fee, unless due to a verified medical emergency.

• To cancel or reschedule, notify both:

• Tutors will aim to reschedule within the same week where possible, but this is not guaranteed.

5. Tutor Conduct

• All tutors are independent contractors engaged by SkyHigh Academy.

• Tutors hold valid Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and are screened for subject knowledge and professionalism.

• Tutors are not permitted to arrange sessions or payments privately with families outside the Academy.

• Tutors are expected to maintain a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment.

6. Student Expectations

• Students are expected to arrive on time, ready with materials, and willing to engage.

• SkyHigh Academy reserves the right to discontinue lessons due to ongoing behavioural concerns or missed payments.

7. Refunds & Termination

• You may end tutoring at any time with one week’s notice.

• Refunds for prepaid lessons will be issued for unused sessions (minus any applicable cancellation fees).

• SkyHigh Academy may also terminate lessons due to non-payment, repeated cancellations, or inappropriate conduct.

8. Privacy & Confidentiality

• All information shared with SkyHigh Academy and its tutors is treated confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

• Lesson materials and notes may not be shared or distributed outside the tutoring arrangement.

9. Liability

• While all reasonable steps are taken to ensure high-quality tutoring, SkyHigh Academy does not guarantee specific academic outcomes.

• Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring a safe learning environment at home during online or in-person sessions.
